Kaabil vs Raees battle is on Day 2 today! While the first day box-office collections made it clear that Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees got a big lead over Hrithik’s Kaabil, Day 2’s estimated figures indicate that the latter has shot up by a bigger margin than Raees.
While Raees made Rs 26.30 cr (Rs 20.42 cr-Day 1), Kaabil’s Day 2 figures are approx 18 cr plus (Rs 10.43 cr-Day 1). Both the films have shown considerable growth on Day 2, but Kaabil’s growth percentage is higher than Raees (approximately 73 per percent as compared to Raees’s 29 percent).

It should be noted that Raees opened to 75 percent occupancy on Day 1, while Kaabil generated a comparatively lower occupancy . An increase in occupancy from 75 percent is a bit harder which might have worked in Kaabil’s favour. Hence, it witnessed a higher margin of growth.
So, the real fight begins now as Kaabil has also got into the running shoes. This Hrithik-starrer has mostly got rave reviews and is being appreciated heavily on social media, with veterans like Amitabh Bachchan also praising the film.
Overall, Kaabil and Raees are getting great reviews by the junta, but Rakesh Roshan’s film faced a setback in the no. of shows it got as compared to Raees. In a shocking turnaround of events, the division of shows between Kaabil and Raees changed to 45-55 and 40-60 across cinemas, instead of the decided 50-50 ratio, on the day of release.
Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan have been upset about this discrepancy but are being positive for the film’s future. While exclusively talking to SpotboyE.com, Hrithik Roshan expressed his concern and said, “If both babies- Kaabil & Raees- don't get equal food, how can you compare and compete?”
